We are currently offering an opportunity for a Director of Governmental Channel Sales The successful candidate will have management experience and a proven track record of government procurements on the federal, state, and local levels and existing key points of contact within relevant governmental agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), and Centers for Disease Control (CDC).



Responsibilities will include:
• Drafts responses to governmental requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposals (RFP)
• Manage and grow the staff of the Governmental Department.
• Develop and negotiate sound business contracts with governmental entities.
• Independently and in conjunction with consultants identify trends and opportunities in government RFI and RFP activity and develops game plans for procurement of applicable contracts
• Utilize knowledge of HPI business objectives and strategy to provide advice to the executive team regarding contractual requirements, liabilities and risks
• Recommend alternative solutions to legal/business issues that arise or could arise during contract negotiations proactively
• Escalate contract issues appropriately to avoid delays in negotiation timelines.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and analyses of contracted projects.
• Develop a Contract Management department and all policies and operations. .

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
• Strategic selling, negotiating, and project management skills
• Highly motivated and self starter
• Friendly, persuasive and charismatic
• Experience with developing and managing contract relationships with the US government.
• Proven Sales/Managerial ability
• Computer proficiency
