Return Policy Procedures

You may request an RA online via hpi.com. Once you have completed the appropriate information, we will contact you with an assigned RA number. Your RA number is valid for 30 days and must be clearly marked on the outside of all return packages.

Shipping Errors: Complete the return authorization on www.hpi.com and then simply return the items with the RA number on the outside of the box. If approved, we will credit you at invoiced cost including transportation charges via the least expensive way. Shipping errors must be reported within 30 days of receipt.

Defective Products
• Defective products are returned for REPLACEMENT ONLY with the same product/ model. Deviations from this policy may result in a 20% Returns Processing Service Charge.
• Defective product must be in original factory carton with all original packing materials.
• All miscellaneous materials such as manuals, accessories and cables must be included. If any of these materials are missing, your account will be billed accordingly.
• The Return Authorization number must be on the shipping label, not the carton. PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ON THE CARTON.
• Returns must be shipped freight prepaid.
• Return Authorization numbers are good for fourteen (14) days only. Any products returned after the expiration date will be refused.
• If the product is found to be non-defective, an inspection fee of 15% per unit, with a $25 minimum, will be billed to your account.
• HPI issues credit based on purchase price or current price, whichever is lowest.

School and Dormitory Supplies and Consumer Electronics:

Overstock Returns - Overstock returns are permitted for current merchandise- equipment only, based upon manufacturer approval, if the product was purchased from HPI within the prior 6 months. Merchandise must be unopened to receive credit. Merchandise must be returned in round buy quantity. LOGO product is not returnable.

Discontinued Product Returns - Returns of school and dorm supplies and consumer electronics products that are not listed on HPI’s current price list are not permitted.

Computer Hardware and Peripherals, including Digital Cameras, Peripherals and Consumer Electronics
All products in this category may be subject to acceptance of return by the manufacturer. You may return each calendar quarter as overstock. Discontinued products may not be returned. Returns in excess of 10% of your previous quarter’s purchases require a 1:1 stock balancing order of the same manufacturer’s products.

Please note that the following items may not be returned:
• Discontinued items, Special Order items, and Consumables, such as flash memory, digital media
• Items for which manufacturers will not accept returns
• Items not purchased from HPI.
• Open units, units which require re-boxing, or units in an unsuitable resale condition
• Items which have undergone revisions without being assigned a new part number by the manufacturer.

Return Policy for Acer Products: Acer products may be returned within 30 days of date of purchase for complete credit

Return Policy for Kensington Products: Stock rotation returns on a case by case basis. Returns may require an offsetting order.
